[Posted Jan. 19, 2017] The mission of the Uni Hi Education Foundation is to raise funds for the continued support of Uni’s academic, athletic and performing arts programs. Created in 1985 to counter the effects on Uni of budget cuts across the L.A. Unified School District, more than $1 million has been raised to assist faculty and students. Uni’s “School Report Card” now posted online

[Posted Jan. 12, 2017] The Los Angeles Unified School District has posted Uni’s 2015-16 School Report Card with data on Uni’s demographics, environment and performance. Some highlights: Attendance: 1,671 students across grades 9-12 Demographics: 55% Latino, 24% African-American, 10% White, 9% Asian-Filipino; 2% did not declare Graduate in 4 years: 89% (vs. LAUSD average of 75%) Students enrolled in an Advanced Placement class: 25% (vs. LAUSD average of 25%) The breakdown of student backgrounds included the following statistics: 71% Socioeconomically disadvantaged 19% Gifted and talented 12% Students with Disabilities There […]

Uni alum Steve Smith Sr. retires from football

Inaugural Uni Film Festival slated for April 28-29

“Shrek The Musical” auditions coming
