“Shrek The Musical” auditions coming

[Posted December 8, 2016] “The Fantasticks” was a major-league hit for the Uni theater team, but there’s no rest, especially with another show to do! Uni’s Director of Theatre Arts, Ronnie Sperling, has booked Disney’s “Shrek The Musical” for the spring, bringing the beloved green ogre to the stage of the re-vitalized Stivelman Theater next April 19-22. Thanks for making “The Fantasticks” a hit!

Uni featured in new Walgreens commercial “Just Retired”

[Posted November 25, 2016] Have you seen the Walgreens “Just Retired” commercial, where a teacher exits her classroom, sprays her papers all over the place and then heads to Walgreens to get a prescription on her road to retirement? If the background looks a little familiar, it should: the school scenes were shot at Uni! Girls Volleyball wins Los Angeles City Division III Championship!

[Posted November 12, 2016] Uni won the 2016 City Division III title by defeating Central City Value, 25-19, 18-25, 25-19, 19-25, 15-9, on Saturday, November 12 at the Roybal Learning Center in downtown Los Angeles. Coach Emilio Alvarado’s Wildcats compiled a 17-7 regular-season record and 7-5 in the highly-competitive Western League. Uni was top-seeded in the City Division III playoffs and won its matches against Middle College (3 sets to 0), Valley Academy of Arts and Sciences (3-0) and Rivera (3-0), to get to the championship match. “The Fantasticks” Headed to Stivelman Theater on Nov. 30-Dec. 3
