[Posted April 20, 2018] The mission of the Uni Hi Education Foundation is to raise funds for the continued support of Uni’s academic, athletic and performing arts programs. Created in 1985 to counter the effects on Uni of budget cuts across the L.A. Unified School District, more than $1 million has been raised to assist faculty and students. Anyone can contribute: 103-year-old Hal Cunningham, who attended the school when it was known as Warren G. Harding High, joined the ranks of donors in 2014 and helped out again in 2015! […]

Collins & Katz YMCA-Uni cooperation cited by LAUSD

[Posted April 10, 2018] The shared-use concept that eventually placed the new Collins & Katz Family YMCA on a corner of the Uni campus was saluted as a paradigm for future uses of the L.A. Unified School District’s vast real estate holdings. The L.A. Legendary appeals judge Stephen Reinhardt ‘48 passes at 87

[Posted April 5, 2018] One of the nation’s most noteworthy judges, Stephen Reinhardt, Class of 1948, died on March 29 of a heart attack. He was 87. Ninth Circuit Chief Judge Sidney R. Thomas said, “We have lost a wonderful colleague and friend. Uni boys basketball team finishes second in City Division 1

[Posted March 20, 2018] Uni’s 2017-18 boys basketball team will long be remembered for an outstanding season that ended with a 26-6 record and a second-place finish in the City Division 1 playoffs. Coach Steve Ackerman’s squad was 23-4 in the regular season, losing only to City champion Westchester and runner-up Fairfax, both of whom happened to be in the Western League. New Charter-School petition for Uni filed

[Posted March 15, 2018] The proposal for Uni to become an affiliated charter school within the Los Angeles Unified School District has taken a major step forward with a new petition to the District, submitted on January 30. The term of the proposal is for July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2023 and is available for inspection here. The projected enrollment for the four-grade (9-12) program would be 1,625, slightly less than Uni’s current enrollment of 1,798. Why? 10th Uni Health & Fitness Fair Coming April 25th
